Come and join us for Puppy, Novice and Advanced stand alone sessions that focus on specific training themes and scenarios. Book early as places are limited.
Please note that once booked the training fee is payable if you have to cancel unless we have a waiting list. Thanks for your understanding.

All our workshops are split into different levels.
This is to ensure you and your dog are training with similar standard dogs.
Level 1 - First timers on the workshop / Novice
Level 2 - Novice / Novice Master
Level 3 - Advanced
Please note you can book levels 2 and 3 as many times as you like.

Woodland Workshop
​
A session based on retrieving and hunting in and out of the woods.
Always a popular session based in beautiful woodland with fern cover and open areas so we can really challenge the dogs.
Shot and launchers will be used.

Swapping and Sweeping Workshop

A session dedicated to teaching your dogs not to swap dummies once they have picked.
We will cover basic training exercises and set up retrieving and hunting scenarios where your dog will be exposed to temptation.
This session will also help you and your dog to become an effective hunting team.
We will teach your dog to hunt close to you and to sweep up and clear an area of dummies.

Shoot Day Experience

This workshop is aimed at dogs and handlers who would like to experience what is like to go on a shoot.
We will set up drives and have beaters and guns and set up situations you are likely to encounter on a shoot day.
This session is open to both those new to the shooting field and to those with some experience.
Please note we will be using starter pistols and all dogs must have good recall and a delivery.

Water Workshop - Near Hitchin

A session dedicated to helping all our handlers to perfect a consistent and successful line out when sending your dogs for a retrieve.
Focusing on your body position, your sending arm, dogs position and command words when casting your dog out.
This is a vitally important element to gundog training and a workshop not to be missed!

Shooting Field Workshop
DATES FOR 2025 COMING SOON
This session is aimed at dogs and handlers about to go out in the shooting field this season. It will be a great refresher for those dogs already picking up in previous years and a great introduction for those dogs about to head out into the shooting field arena!
We will set up drives and have beaters and guns (not live shot) and set up situations you are likely to encounter on a shoot day.
